PERIOD 1




For the writing part this period, per teams we wrote an e-mail with the purpose of practicing for our BULATS exam.

Other activities


I get into the official website of BULATS to find the types of exercises usually are asked. Also I look into the topics of which I am going to be asked for writing, so I did some research about them.

I realized some of the online test that are on the same website. 
I gave myself the task of finding vocabulary and phrases that could help me to be able for write in a several formal way.


Another thing I did and I hope will be helpful is that each time when I had to write an email to a colleague I used to use the format that I looked into using the phrases, trying that this were short  and concise with the purpose that my ability for writing improve and I could be prepared for the BULATS test.

Reflection 1



The idea of ​​writing an e-mail or even a sentence is always tricky, such as English or any other language, has many rules for spelling, grammar, verbs,context, etc.., And of course this is not an exception. At first my team and I think that it would be a little bit complicated because we would not know what we could talk about but as we began to investigate and talk about it we realized that now the difficult thing would be to summarize all our ideas into one and that is why I think that was one aspect that we failed because we are not be able to eliminate all the ideas that are talking about other topics that´s why we will review it for later have the ability to organize our ideas and know that less is more. In this case the problem was that we want to mention a lot of places and things to do in Russia but also we need to summarize a little bit more. 



PERIOD 2

For the second period we need to write a story using the vocabulary of the unit 10 which one be the dialogue of a beautiful video. 


Our teacher rated us with the same aspects than the other period: creativity, organization, vocabulary and form. We got:


Other activities

This time I focused my studies on exercises that were much closer to those that would be performed on the test so I solved a lot of exercises of book with e-mails and short letters all of this trying to cover every possible topic. 
At first it was a little bit tricky because most of the time I spent more number of words than 50-60 but gradually I got better. 
In the same way I did exercises such as the second part of BULATS writing which includes the act of choosing between two task and write about some kind of cases. 
I noticed that most of the examples in the book were for talking business stuff so I focused in them using the vocabulary and phrases that I were previously investigated.

Reflection 2

This time we did´t got a good grade because the story was a little short and we had problems with the organization maybe it was a misprint or something like that. Unlike the text of the last period this was short of words so that´s why we must continue to practice for the exam because it is getting closer. It is important to find a leveling between not write too many words but also not less just to be clear and concise with we want to mean.
